Arrival of the boat. The guide awaits you at the exit of the terminal with the sign "Shorexc".

Leaving the port of Dammam, we will head to Al Ahsa, which is at a distance of 150 km.

We start our tour with a stop at Al Ahsa Heritage Village, nice museum and traditional restaurant.

Next, we will visit the Jawaka Mosque, located in the village of Al-Kilabiyah, 12 km north of Al Ahsa. This was the first known mosque, built in eastern Saudi Arabia. Most of the original structure is in ruins. Various sources give the date of construction as 628 AD, built by the tribe of the Bani Abd al-Qays, who lived there during the first Islamic period.

Finally, we will visit the Al-Ahsa Oasis, also known as Hofuf or Mount Qara. The landscape of the oases, which has evolved over millennia, presents a way of life typical of the Gulf region of the Arabian Peninsula. This cultural landscape consists of gardens, canals, springs, wells, an agricultural drainage lake, as well as historic buildings. The oasis of Al-Ahsa is composed of twelve parts that form the largest oasis in the world, with more than 2.5 million palm trees, urban fabric and archaeological sites that represent the evolution of an ancient cultural tradition and the traces of sedentary human occupation in the Gulf region of the Arabian Peninsula from the Neolithic to the present. The landscape of Al-Ahsa represents the different phases of the evolution of the oasis and the interaction of natural and cultural heritage.
