Description

We take you to know St. Petersburg, founded by Tsar Peter the Great in 1703. It is the second largest city in the Russian Federation and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in the world; its imperial past and deep-rooted traditions are observed at every step in this beautiful capital, which curiously happens to be the "least Russian city" in Russia.

St. Petersburg, known as the Venice of the North for its huge number of canals, islands and bridges, copied from Paris its symmetrical, wide and very long avenues dotted with cathedrals. Once founded, Pedro I made the Court come here, raising up to 300 palaces of all signs; World War II wiped out much of this delirious wealth, but today the center of this wonderful city (largely a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is of unparalleled beauty, and has made this metropolis one of the most sought-after destinations among all cruise excursions. And a curiosity that we reveal to you: the matryoshkas that flood markets and streets of St. Petersburg and all over Russia, are originally from Japan! Did you know?

Don't miss this must-see experience. Take the best possible memory of your trip. Book your place now!

NIGHT EXCURSION

23:00 Departure of the excursion.

You will meet the guide, once past the Passport Control. It will carry the "Shorexc" sign.

St. Petersburg, known as Venice of the North, is especially spectacular at night. The city has such amazing night lighting that you will have the impression of visiting a new city.

If you are lucky enough to go in the period of the romantic white nights (May-June) you will witness a different experience. The Sun never gets to hide completely, there is a beautiful mixture between twilight and dawn.

We will start the tour with a panoramic view of the illuminated city. During the tour you will make stops to take pictures in the most beautiful places of the city, you will see numerous picturesque bridges and you can admire beautiful facades of the buildings of St. Petersburg.

The tour will end with the "show" of the drawbridges, the city's calling card. The uniqueness of the drawbridges of St. Petersburg is that during the entire period of navigation of the Neva River, every night, about one o'clock in the morning, the bridges are raised to make way for ships. It is an impressive spectacle that attracts a lot of people every night.

Day 2

Departure of the excursion.

You will meet the guide, once past the Passport Control. It will carry the "Shorexc" sign.

Transfer to the former summer imperial residence Pushkin. Interior visit of the Catherine Palace.

Transfer to another summer residence of Russian tsars, "Peterhof". Time for food.

Inside visit to the gardens and fountains of Peterhof.

Transfer to St. Petersburg.

Return to the ship. End of the tour.

It is important that you take the printed Tour Tickets (Visa), because at the time of disembarkation they will ask you for it and without the Tour Ticket they will not let you get off the boat.

The itinerary is not exact, depending on the day of the week there could be closed monuments, or with difficulty to access, or with sold out tickets, in that case the itinerary will be adjusted so that that monument can be seen the other day.

Due to the recent works that have begun in the Catalina Palace and the large number of people who are receiving the Palace are making queues of up to 5 hours waiting for individual customers and up to 3 hours for groups that have reserved entry. In the case of your boat we do NOT have the option to move the excursion to the 1st day because it is a Tuesday and that day the Palace is closed.
For this reason, and given the danger of losing the rest of the excursion, or even losing the boat, we have negotiated with the Palace to make an alternative route through the Palace and its rooms, but that does NOT include the Amber Room. This will allow us not to waste excessive waiting time. Of course, each time it will be valued individually and we will always try to make the classic tour that includes the Sala Ambar.
