PROGRAM

Arrival of the boat. When disembarking, you must take the free shuttle bus that takes you to the exit of the port, very close to the taxi rank. There the guide with the Shorexc sign will be waiting for you. DO NOT take the payment shuttle that goes to "City Centre".

The tour starts along the enchanting view of Doha's Corniche, a walk along the coastline that stretches for several kilometers of the bay.

We will visit the following sites:

– Cultural Village (KATARA): It is one of the most beautiful places in Doha where you can walk and take a break. It is a project carried out by the government with the intention of highlighting Qatari culture by bringing vestiges of the past to the contemporary world. It is an enclosure with a set of buildings with a reliable trace of fabulous Islamic art. There is an amphitheater, an opera house, a movie theater, conference rooms, a beach and a souk.

– The Pearl of Qatar: It is the most luxurious site in Doha and is built on artificial land reclaimed from the sea. There is a law that prohibits selling property to foreigners on Qatari soil until someone came up with the idea of selling properties built on the sea. It is so called because it is built on a site where pearls were once collected. There will be more than 13 islands when it is finished. The largest of the islands boasts a wide range of luxury villas, apartments, three 5-star hotels and over two million square metres of retail, restaurants, cafes and entertainment.

We will pass by the Doha Golf Club and the Horse Stables.

We will continue the tour with the visit of the Souq Waqif (Old Souk): It was founded in the late nineteenth century and was originally a meeting place for Bedouins and local people for the cattle trade, mainly. It was renovated in 2006 but preserving its architectural identity, the modern buildings were demolished and the old ones restored. In the Souk, traditional heating methods based on wood and bamboo imported from various areas of Asia are used.

We will walk through this popular site with its picturesque architecture, through its stalls with traditional clothes, perfumes, crafts and souvenirs. We will be able to observe the Arabian falcon, the camel area and the spice market. You can also find dozens of restaurants and terraces to smoke shisha.
