At the southern tip of Karmøy, with lighthouses guiding ships to Skudefjorden and across the North Sea, lies the charm and flavor of the ancient world of Skudeneshavn.

Founded thanks to the incredible success of the herring harvests of the early nineteenth century, the city grew at an astonishing rate. Still today are preserved in the "old city" almost 130 original wooden houses and docks facing the sea. The Skudeneshavn Museum, located in the historic area, is the ideal place to learn about local history in an authentic setting.

It has been recognized on numerous occasions as one of the most beautiful villages in Norway.

Departure to the picturesque village of Skudenehavn.

During the visit we will visit its old part, discover its history and local anecdotes told by our guide. It is fascinating to see how local artisans attempted to recreate the splendor of Ancient Rome in their ornamentation and ornamentation.

We will have the opportunity to visit the ethnographic museum (optional) to know what life was like for its people in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

We will also have free time to walk its streets and take a break in one of its small and pleasant cafes.

On the way back to Haugesund, weather permitting, you will make a photo stop at Haugesund Town Hall, considered one of the most beautiful in Norway.
