Description

Bar has always been considered the hidden pearl of Montenegro. Located in the wide area between the Adriatic and the foothills of the Rumija mountain, it preserves the largest medieval site in all the Balkans. It is undoubtedly a preferred destination among excursions in Montenegro.

The fantastic city is divided into two: the new and the old (Stari Bar). It is in the old city where the best archaeological remains of this area of Europe are found. The passage of cultures throughout history has left an incredible mark on the city: Hellenes, Romans, Byzantines, and later the Venetians and Ottomans have given rise to an incredible mix of Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance, and Oriental styles. You will even be able to contemplate what is considered the oldest olive tree in the world, the silent witness of all this cultural richness for more than 2000 years! Bar is a delight to behold; no traveler remains indifferent to so much secular culture treasured with care and effort, and surrounded by incomparable beauty. Undoubtedly the "Montenegrin Pompeii".

Be sure to visit the city of Bar when your cruise passes through the Adriatic. You will be able to admire the effort of a town to maintain its historical identity, and you will take with you an incredible souvenir of your trip. We will wait for you!
