PROGRAM

The guide waits at the exit of the port, next to the Tourist Information Point with the "Shorexc" sign.

On a half-day excursion, we will visit the two most important cities of the island, the current and the former capital of Malta

Arrival in Valletta to appreciate in situ the beauty and charm of this small town.

The first stop will be the "Barracca Gardens", built by the Knights of the Order of St. John, above the defensive bastions that surround this majestic city. The breathtaking views of the Grand Harbour and the three fortified cities will leave no one indifferent.

Then you will visit the Cathedral of St. John (optional admission), where you can appreciate the strong contrast between its decorated interior richness and its simple exterior architecture, as well as the impressive sample of Baroque art it contains, including the acclaimed painting that Caravaggio left after his time in Malta. You can also visit the Church Museum that has an important sample of beautiful Flemish tapestries. People who do not wish to enter the Cathedral will have free time.

After the visit to the Cathedral we will continue with an interesting walk through the city to go by coach to the city of Mdina.

As you approach the ancient capital of the island, you can see at the top the imposing and ancient Citadel of Mdina.

Let yourself be carried away by your imagination as you stroll through the narrow and mysterious streets of Medina, also known as the Silent City, streets that will take us to the wonderful fortifications of the city, from which we can take almost 360º panoramic views of the island.

Return to the ship.

End of the tour.
