PROGRAM

Arrival of the boat. The guide awaits you at the port with the sign "Shorexc".

This walking tour will take you along the Old City to visit the main points of interest:

The cellars of the Roman Palace: The ancient city of Split is built on and around a spectacular Roman palace erected by Emperor Diocletian (born in Salona) in the fourth century. The cellars, which are very well preserved, offer a good insight into how life was organized in the Palace.

The Cathedral of St. Duje: It is a complex formed by a church, a Roman imperial mausoleum and a bell tower. The church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the bell tower to St. Duje. Together they form the Cathedral of St. Duje.

The Temple of Jupiter: It is a temple dedicated to the god of the ancient Romans, located near the Peristyle, the central square of the palace. It was built during the construction of Diocletian's Palace. At the entrance to the temple there is one of the two sphinxes that Emperor Diocletian ordered taken out of Egypt.
